# Which organs, which outcomes?

> Organs and outcomes at Prestige Peptides Health — Compare the organs, populations and outcomes studied across semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide and MOTS-c at Prestige Peptides Health.

**Across the collection**

Damaged kidneys, the digestive tract, liver fat and muscle under strain give these compounds different places in the research.

## Kidney disease

Semaglutide’s [FLOW trial treated people with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38785209/), recording fewer major kidney events in a combined outcome that also included kidney or cardiovascular death. The [MOTS-c dialysis cohort measured a circulating biomarker](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39111290/), associating higher readings with a worse combined outcome.

I’d put these studies near each other because they reveal different things about bodies already under strain. One compares treatment; the other observes a blood measurement. Their proximity invites a question about kidney disease while preserving that distinction.

## Heart events; pulse changes

[SELECT counted cardiovascular death, nonfatal heart attack and nonfatal stroke](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37952131/) in adults with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity without diabetes. It found a reduction with semaglutide. In the [retatrutide Phase 2 obesity trial](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37366315/), heart rate increased in a dose-related pattern. Its later cardiovascular significance remains unknown.

The event findings and pulse observations answer different questions. I’d leave the pulse observation unresolved until longer outcome trials explain its significance.

## Weight and tissues

The [direct tirzepatide–semaglutide comparison](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40353578/) provides the firmest weight comparison between those medicines in these sources. Retatrutide’s [liver-fat substudy](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11271400/) measured fat within the liver in a smaller, different population. MOTS-c’s [muscle performance findings came from mice](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33473109/).

I’d resist arranging these results into a single podium. The specific jobs matter more: changing body weight, reducing liver fat, performing a mouse muscle test. A result retains its value when its scope stays visible.

## Tolerability

The [semaglutide safety review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34305810/) and [tirzepatide trial analysis](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37908750/) give digestive and biliary concerns a substantial place in the account. Retatrutide still needs longer-term safety and outcome evidence. MOTS-c still needs human trials of administration that establish benefit and characterize harm.

The individual pages carry the populations, figures and regulatory limits. An organ’s whole burden interests me: the disease it starts with, the improvement measured and the difficulties treatment can add.
